quick question , how height can be a transformer go above finish floor ?

Everytime I see that EMT to MC connector, I fail to understand how the NEC doesn't consider the MC side clamp a Romex clamp.

Now what’s crazy is a corner ground three phase system.

I’ve seen it several times here in Houston. It’s not uncommon to see when a residential street backs up to a street that’s commercial and on three phase.

Hi , there . I have a question about when the Abdul system is triggered, I can see on your diagram that light & outlets all cut out by microswitch. But you didn’t mention how a the Exhaust Fan will turning On ? Since the the switch is on open position.

Based on article 450.13 b, it says that a transformer larger than 50kva cannot be installed above the drop ceiling.

I live in Phoenix I heard about a housing tract that was built they sold 3 phase power as a cost savings advantage. I believe it was 1960's at least didn't also have aluminum wire like I ended up with in my later 1970's home.

Its NOT legal to use a heavy wall coupling to join anything but threaded pipe. Reason being rigid conduit has a tapered thread and type NM, AC,MC, EMT, Greenfield connectors & chase nipples do not have tapered threads so this could cause a problem on clearing thousands of amps during a dead short. Yep don't know one sparky who has not used coupling to join connectors. I been reading the quarter million word code book for over 50 years and still learning.

Best practice for any armored cable is to cut the admire end at a 45 degree angle & spend 2 seconds to I stall anti short bushings. Yes they are not required by NEC but the large hospital that I retired from it was mandatory to use anti short bhshings.

Hi I need to buck down from 237v to 220v for a pneumatic elevator. The sales man stated I need this same transformer 416-1131-000. I feel that I would need a 16/32 secondary transformer to get me to 221v ac. What do you think?

I am going to do the anti or opposite of this to replace existing wires to an outlet and use the flex conduit to the outlet box to avoid drilling new holes or having to do weird bending EMT to go through existing holes to reach the outlet box and use EMT for the straight and easy bends. Took me all day to bend a 13" piece of EMT to align an existing outlet box and hole that goes through floor to crawl space.

Don't think the code says anything when straps ate installed on top of horizontal conduit runs. We always mounted straps mounting hole below conduit. Years ago it appeared that you were not allowed to use more then 6' of sealtite. It cost more then triple the cost of running EMT conduit. Had some jobs with so many violations that a commercial customer wanted me to fix due to either failing an inspection or insurance company walk thru. Would tell them that I have an iron clad agreement with the medical profession. They do not perform electrical work and I don't work on abortions. Was afraid of some garbage concealed inside walls that might start a fire and .never had an insurance claim for any electrical work that I performed.

Never wired the actual control box, but wired some junction boxes for this type of system above the hood in a kitchen.

Learnt more on your channel than I did at any electrical shop class in the apprentice program which is sad.
